1)Obviously that is their goal,they are an animal rights group.
2)Too bad CCF failed to mention the 26 billion animals killed for meat,dairy, adn eggs.And the 1 million dogs,monkeys,cats,tested on and killed each year.Plus another 19 million rats and mice.
3)Bruce Friedrich told an animal rights convention in 2001 that “blowing stuff up and smashing windows” is “a great way to bring about animal liberation.”
-One person does not represent an entire group.If you knew about factory farming,vivisection,animals killed alive for fur,etc
I’m sure you would feel the same way.It makes me mad to see animals killed and abused needlessly.
4)Do you know where kids get their nutritional guides from?Meat and dairy industry.Many of our parents wer raised on the four food groups,there were origanally 12.The USDA made the change after receiving heavy pressure from the meat and dairy industry.kids today still think they need to drink cows milk,they think milk builds strong bones(it doesn’t,the calcium in milk is unusable,it has to have a ratio of 1 to 1 magnesium and calcium,and calcium is absorbed better from foods with low phosphorus,milk is NOT a low pH,it is a high,osteoperosis is caused by excess protein,not lack of calcium,people who drink milk do not have stronger bones),recently the milk industry suggested that people who drink milk are leaner,with no research to support it.In a weight loss guide,they said include ice cream with fruit.You’re kidding me right?Eat ice cream to lose weight?I’m sure you can find a Got milk? at each and every public school on the US,and they say good cheese comes from happy cows,yet they only show cows grazing in grass,when in reality they are kept in stalls all day,given hormones,milked 3 times a day,have their calves taken away from them to be raised for veal.
5)CCF claims that PCRM “perverts” science,yet PCRM’s studies are all peer reviewed.PCRM has a four-star rating from Charity Navigator.PCRM exposed experiments in which short, healthy children were to be injected with genetically engineered growth hormone in an attempt to make them taller. PCRM also exposed the practice of using massive estrogen doses to suppress height in tall adolescent girls. In addition, PCRM vigorously promotes alternatives to the use of animals in medical education and research through a variety of innovative programs.
CCF mistakenly charges that the American Medical Association (AMA) has “censured” PCRM: This is patently untrue. PCRM did have disagreements with the AMA in the early 1990s (the AMA supported animal testing, while PCRM promotes alternatives; PCRM favors vegetarian diets, while the AMA was initially skeptical), but the AMA’s censure process was never applied to PCRM. In fact, PCRM president Neal Barnard, M.D., is a lifetime AMA member. In February 2004, the AMA released a statement saying that its previous criticisms of PCRM’s stance on vegetarianism do not represent current AMA opinion or policy.In 2006, the AMA rescinded a 1990 criticism of PCRM’s work for alternatives to animal research. There is no longer any acrimony between the groups. Many PCRM members are also AMA members.

7) PETA has spoke against those foundations,but they promote alternatives.They do not shun research without promoting an alternative. Why they are against those studies.The American Heart Association (AHA) funds countless studies in which animals have their hearts damaged, have their arteries sewn shut, and are exposed to noxious substances like cigarette smoke. In one AHA-funded study, tubes and wires were implanted into dogs’ hearts in order to speed up their heartbeats for three weeks until the dogs suffered heart failure. Another group of AHA-funded experimenters killed baboons by injecting them with lethal doses of E. coli.
Experimenters funded by the March of Dimes sewed newborn kittens’ eyes shut for a year and then killed them; others chemically blinded 4-to-12-week-old kittens by injecting drugs into their brains for four straight weeks, killing many of the cats in the process.The March of Dimes has funded these “blinding” studies for decades in order to show that depriving cats of normal vision alters the development of their brains—which is already a well-established scientific fact. The March of Dimes has also given millions of dollars to experimenters who have administered nicotine, cocaine, and alcohol to pregnant animals, even though we already know from human clinical experience that these substances can harm developing babies.
Shriners Burns Institute has conducted burn experiments on live mice, rats, guinea pigs, pigs, dogs, and sheep for years. Experimenters there burned pigs over 40 percent of their bodies and then induced sepsis by pumping E. coli into their internal organs in order to test how treating the infection helps burn victims to recover, even though burn victims are already routinely given antibiotics to fight infections.
At Boys Town National Research Hospital, experimenters starved cats for months, implanted tubes and wires in their throats, cemented metal devices into their skulls, and cut open kittens’ heads in order to sever the nerves in their brains—all in the name of curing deafness. Undercover investigators from PETA documented serious violations of federal law at Boys Town, including failure to provide veterinary care to sick animals, use of outdated drugs, and the absence of post-surgical painkillers.

-France has a fraction of the animals that we do for food,yet they have tested more animals in a week than we have in an entire decade.
-The USDA tests lees than 1% of animals killed for food
-The USDA makes it illegal for slaughterhouses to conduct tests to reassure customers that their beef is safe,slaughterhouses were losing money after US beef was banned from Japan when they found cows with mad cow diease,slaughterhouses wanted to be allowed to test to reassure Japan that their beef was safe,USDA made it illegal to do so
-Mad cow diease is caused by feeding other animals to cows,a practice that was supposedly banned in 1997
-The USDA tested a cow positive for mad cow disease,they did nothing the next day,didn’t shut down the slaughterhouse,didn’t do any recalls,nothing.
-The government said it cannot require labeling of cloned meats.Why?Because many would not buy it.That shows you they don’t want to protect consumer but rather the inustries(they did the same with genetically modified foods in 1995,they wouldn’t label it because no one would buy it)
-The USDA Food Guide Pyramid available through 2005 recommended that meat, poultry, fish, and eggs comprise 14% of the diet, yet 52% of USDA food promotion resources were allocated to these foods. The Pyramid said 33% of the diet should come from fruits and vegetables — which received only 5% of the USDA promotion budget.

I’ve never supported PETA. They’re all a bunch of crazies.
How do you not eat meat? It’s a natural source of protein. Does PETA go out and protest to the lions that eat zebras for dinner?
Plus, pets are necessary for a healthy, happy life.

I am a vegetarian because I believe that we shouldn’t be killing animals simply to eat them, and also because I have pet chickens and can’t see how I can claim to love them but then also eat the same species. I also have massive objections to factory farming. However, I don’t support PETA or other radical animal rights movements. Instead I choose to support animal welfare charities such as the RSPCA, Dogs Trust and so on.

I support my local shelters and NorthShore Animal League.(They are pretty much a pet Red Cross)

I never supported them anyway, so this is just the icing on the cake. Any person that is against a natural way of life (that is a higher member of the food chain making lower members food) has no intelligence what-so-ever.
Also any group that has to make sick and twisted pictures of random bloody cow heads just to get people to side with them, never had much of an argument.
