WellI’m not sure if someone will answerthis with the quality description
you are giving. You should try to describe a bit more so that people can help with more confidence. Just a thought! :-D It would be nice from you to do that :)

Just google “nurse job interview” and “nurse job resume’” and you’ll find lots of information for your question. Monster.com is also a good place to look.

Below is a sample interview I cut and pasted:

    Tell me about yourself
Why did you leave your last job?
Do you know anything about our company?
What did you like about your last job?
What would you like to be doing five years from now?
    Can you work under pressure?

Could you describe a difficult problem and how you dealt with it?
Why do you want to work here?
What were some of the things you did not like about your last job?

What do you consider your most significant weaknesses?
    What are your biggest accomplishments?
    How do you accept criticism?
What is the most difficult situation you have faced?
What are some of the things that bother you?

What do you consider your most significant strengths?
Do you prefer working with others or alone?
How do you get along with different types of people?
Can you give me an example of a project that didn’t work out well?
What are some of the things you and your supervisor have disagreed on?

Regarding something that’s “very involved with patients?” Depending on who conducts the interview, the RESUME’ should provide that information–information about what types of patients the nurse applying for the job has had experience with: ICU, long-term care, geriatrics, hemiplegia, para- and/or quadriplegia, cardiac, pediatric, physician’s private office/family care, home care, orthopedics.
And the resume’ for a nurse should emphasize special skills, such as working with certain pieces of equipment, keeping office records, etc. So the interview itself might not get too involved “in the patients” because the information is there at the interviewer’s fingertips, in the resume’.

–and the applicant should have researched the hospital first to find out what skills they are seeking and underscore those in the resume’ he/she submits.

But the interview itself (vs. the resume’) is more likely to consist of questions like the ones cited above–ie., general questions. However, the interviewer might ask, “So you’ve had experience working in cardiac care?….and let the interviewee expand upon the dangling question.

    Good luck!
