I am 16 and trying to figure out what it is I want to study, I have always been interested in saving a child’s life, diagnosing and operating them so they can hopefully get better. But I would also like to administrate, run,or even own either a hospital or company. If I study for both, would I be wasting my time because maybe later on I would have to choose between one job or is there a job in a hospital that would let me both administrate and perform as a doctor?

Nothing is impossible, but trust me, it’s insane to do anything medical related and be able to juggle another career at the same time. Doctors who have their own practice find it hard enough, even though it’s in the same medical field, because you would be called at devilish hours of the night because something happened to one person or another and when it’s day time or your off day, all you want to do is sleep and spend time with your family or go fishing or just have fun, you don’t want to have another job to attend to on your free days, which is not very often. You would literally loose your mind if you don’t have anytime for yourself, because you come across so many problems, people with both medical and psychological problems and you take on some of these problems, you just have to have that free time.
maybe, but i doubt it due to conflict of interest. So, its more likely one or the other for you. Besides, i dont think you would even have time to do both jobs.
