What To Expect At The 1st Visit To The Pediatric Rheumatologist?

My son who is 4 has to see a Ped. Rheumatologist on Friday at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for possible Lupus. His ANA and Fed rate tests came back borderline high. What can I expect them to do upon his 1st visit. How rough is this gonna be if he does have Lupus which is what his pediatrician thinks he has?? Thanks

The packaging recommends they be disposed of after one use. However, I’d like to wash them and get a few (3-5) more uses out of them. Is this safe as long as I get them good and real clean?
*I also known that I should NOT boil the nipples and bottles, per multiple nurses at the hospital. They all adamantly told me never boil the nipples.

My 3 year old son is doing one in a couple of days because I think he has sleep apnea. They want us there at 2:30 in the afternoon. What do they do between then and bedtime, just lay in the hospital bed? I am trying to determine how necessary this really is, as I reallly dont want him to have to undergo any surgeries later (they didnt work for his father). What was your experience? Thanks!

I want to become a pediatric nurse but my first main step will probably be to become an LPN because i can do that through my local community college. So can i work in a hospital helping patients? Just curious how many women know that hospitals all over the country are starting to implement visitor restrictions in light of the H1N1 pandemic. My hospital started them today. Only 3 adult (age 16 and up) visitors at a time, siblings only ages 5-16, and absolutely no children under 5. Pediatric units and NICU units are even more strict with their policies and are restricting visitors to parents only in some cases. Quite a few women have been upset by these policies and think it’s unnecessary / overreactionary. What do you think?
