My unweighted GPA as of right now is a 91.25. My weighted GPA is 93.75. In my school, you start with four classes in the beginning of the year and switch to new ones halfway through. I finished four of my eight classes, so I still have four more classes to finish. Therefore, my GPA is subject to change. It will definitely go up, haha. Last year, my unweighted GPA was a 95, and my weighted was 96.8750. My class rank is 21 out of 397.

I take all honors academics, and I’m ahead with my sciences. (I just finished chemistry honors, a course meant for juniors, while other sophomores are still in biology. I took biology honors freshman year.) I am also taking Spanish every year. Next year I am taking Anatomy and Physiology as well as Biology II Honors. During my senior year, I am taking a psychology college course that is offered through my school. I may also take AP (Advanced placement) Biology. Do you think that these classes will appeal to U Penn if I want to be a nurse? Should I take physics? I’d rather not, but if I have to, I will. What other classes should I take? What mathematics do you suggest?

I am also in three clubs: Leo Club, Key Club, and PALS Club. The first two are community service clubs that are nationally recognized. Do my involvement in these clubs increase my chances of getting accepted?

I also work at a pediatric cardiologist office. I plan on volunteering at my local hospital, as well. Will this appeal to U Penn at all, or would they not even care?

So, my preschooler needs dental treatment that’ll cost us about ,000 because it includes service fees from the anesthesiologist. My ex husband refuses to pay 50% of this cost. I told him about this two months ago when I made the appointment. He tells me this now, when my son’s appointment is next week. I had to wait 2 months for an 8:00am appointment because he cannot eat 6 hours prior to the anesthesia. For me to find another pediatric dentist and to get an early appointment will delay his treatment for another several months. A good part of his two front teeth are gone from the cavity decay. He needs treatment asap. I told my ex that we get this treatment done and he’s free to start searching for another pediatric dentist that is in network for future treatments. He says I need to find out if the current dentist is in network or not. I know she’s not but I haven’t told him. This is all under his insurance coverage but he wants me to call. If I don’t call, he said he’s going to switch to HMO. I see this as a threat. He’s always been cheap and money is more important to him than his kids’ health. If he switches to HMO, then we won’t have to pay as much but our options for doctors are more limited. Btw, I have my own insurance from my work. So what he’s doing is affecting the kids health insurance. When he says he’s going to switch to HMO, is this a threat?
