I have had a heart arrythmia since early summer of last year,it was brought on by anxiety from death of a loved one which lead to chest pains, several trips to ER,a 00 medical bill for my dad and a appoitment with a pediatric heart specialist. They all say Im fine.I get tired real easy and I cant run from one end of house to the other without my heart going at least a pulse of 160.Its crazy,I feel that one day Im gonna be at school or at a convienence store getting a slurpie and im gonna feel my frequent chest pains and they wont go away and Im going to black out fall to the ground and die.I know its a scary thought but I feel its the truth.my arrthmia is real but I know for a fact alot of people have them, sometimes its serious medical emergency other times people have them for life.its been about 9 months since my first symptoms and nothing serious has happened.which leads to my question.

Do I have to pass out at least once to know for sure im going to die?

Thank You
Im on Yahoo Messenger so if you wanna chat please do.

I anxious to hear what the dr says, but I wanted to find out from anyone else who knows about photophobia and what could cause it….if computers could cause it.

My daugher needs to see a specialist to get her teeth fixed. The dentist is telling me I’m not allowed to go in with my child. She is only 4 years old? Where are my rights here? Where do I stand? I don’t want to leave her alone with strangers fixing her teeth. She would be too scared!
She has had to get this work done before, when she was not even three years old, they gave her some medicine orally and said it would sedate her, but when I went to pick her up she had kicked off her shoes, broke all the blood vessels in her face and was in a horrible state. Shes been terrified of the dentist ever since. She got thrush and terrible rash, bruising and just a horrible experience last time. She needs it done again and I vowed I would never leave her alone again, however having a very hard time finding a dentist that will allow me in with her. Any ideas? We are in Halifax, Nova Scotia

My 5 yr old daughter got a very strong prescription for eyeglasses and I disagree w/ the dr. The reason is because she’s nearsighted, she stands very close to the tv and holds her face somewhat close to her papers when reading/writing. Now, the glasses she has makes everything smaller but clearer when I look through them. I’m assuming it does the same when she wears them because she told me I’m bigger when she takes the glasses off. Does it make sense for her to have glasses that make things smaller? Or is this doctor out of his mind?

*I don’t see any difference when she wears them or goes without, so I’ve put them up until she can see a pediatric specialist.
Thank you very much. I’ll try and explain this to her father now, because we were so confused. She just started kindergarten and has complained of headaches for the past 3 days. She wore them to school today. Thanks!

I was told to wait until my twins were 6 months old ADJUSTED AGE, which means they will actually be 8 months old from birth. They will be 6 months old adjusted age this April. Hubby will be back from deployment in May and was wanting to see it but I don’t want to put it off if it isn’t good too. Yes I will be calling their pediatric specialist to ask but in the meantime was wondering if it mattered if I put it off any longer?

(adjusted age is how old they would be if they were born on time, my girls were born 2 months premature even though they are 6 months old from birth physically they are only 4 months old adjusted age)

hi, this is my first time on here but i have decided to try it since iv had no joy at all with doctors. i have a 15 month old girl and ever since about 8 months old she has been sick during the night, i have taken her to the doctors and up until recently have said that i think its something to do with her eating solid foods ( still could be) however i am now thinking that it might not be the food as recently she had a bug so was off food a few days and she still did it. its not just a little bit of sick its a lot and comes out really fast, she coughs a few times then pukes. she has to sleep with her bucket next to her bed now and its awful for her as its just kind of become part of our routine! she has been to the gp, pediatric specialist, dietitian, and a&e a few times but none of them seem to be taking me seriously. they haven’t offered any possible causes or done any tests. she is now on medicine for stomach acid and has been for about a month but this has made no difference. so if anyone has any ideas/ similar experience or advice please let me know as i really don’t know what else to do!! thank you
Thanks for suggestions! i am going to start recording her from tonight and im going to get her daily routine written up and also what has been said and medicine given by the doctors already then take her back to docs in a week or so when i have plenty of evidence, it has also been suggested that i take her to see a solicitor with regards to no tests being done after so long then hopefully they will sort something out so if we have no joy at doctors with our evidence then ill do that thanks again for your suggestions!

I’ve recently been reading about Social Lending, and how more people are turning to this method before applying for a personal loan from a traditional bank. I’ve only found about a handful of websites that offer this kind of service, and all of them require you to pay first. Not to be funny, but if I had the money to pay for a websites services that I’m asking help from, then chances are I wouldn’t be asking for a loan in the first place.

I have absolutely no credit. Not bad credit, but no credit. I got married at 18, and my soon to be ex husband felt that everything we owned over the past 8 years should be in his name. Now he has an amazing credit score while mine isn’t anything. I know that it’s my own fault for not pressing this issue, but to be honest, I didn’t know any better or understand the importance of opening and establishing a good line of credit.

The problem is now though. I’ve run into a financial emergency, and need desperately to take out a loan. I’ve applied absolutely everywhere I can, and have been turned down time and time again for lack of credit. I know I can repay a loan, and some of the money would actually go towards fully paying off 3 bills which would free up an additional 5 a month.

My biggest need for the money though is my son. He is having a series of 10 surgeries, and what insurance doesn’t cover, I have to pay the difference up front. He was due to have the third one this past week, and when I got there I didn’t have the entire amount, and was told when I could pay it, I could reschedule. I asked about my son’s health, and how they can so easily do that, and they replied that if his pain became bad, the swelling didn’t subside, or if his fever spiked any higher or did not break, to take him to the local emergency room. The only reason insurance will not pay the entire 100% is because the pediatric specialist that has to perform the surgeries classified four of them as oral surgery. My son has already hit the maximum amount allotted for dental, and that leaves me to find the rest, even with it being determined as an emergency service.

It’s one thing if it were me hurting, and needing this done, but anyone that’s a parent knows that it hurts worse to see your child in pain, and not be able to do anything about it. He has gotten to a point where I can’t even force him to eat some days because once the pain subsides for a while, he’s terrified of doing anything that could cause it to come back.

I can’t put these procedures off, and could any direction as to where I could search for a loan. Any help at all is appreciated.
I promptly filed a complaint, and was told that it wouldn’t get very far because the pediatric and oral specialty surgeon (I believe that is the correct term) are both running their own private practices, and using the outpatient facility of the town’s hospital. Basically I gathered they are simply running their practice (like renting space) in this facility, and can ask for payment in the way they choose. I didn’t think they could stop care like this either, but obviously I was wrong. I have a highly recognized insurance, and it offers full medical, and only x amount of dental. That is where it hurt me financially, is by classifying some of his surgeries as oral, and it maxing out the dental amount after the first one. I truly believed it could have been categorized as medical, because this isn’t just causing harm on his mouth, and it’s not like he’s just having a tooth pulled, root canal, etc.

My daughter has an ongoing condition that we see a pediatric specialist for every week. She does not stay in one of the hospitals, but receives care on an outpatient basis. I always assumed we would pay for her treatment, but I’ve noticed around Denver (where we live and she goes to the hospital) that there are lots of fundraisers and donations for “the Children’s Hospital.” I was just wondering why a hospital that charges would receive donations? Maybe if the child is a patient that stays in the hospital it is different, I’m not sure. Of course we’ll get the treatment whether we pay or not, I was just curious as we have yet to receive a bill, but no one has mentioned this service being free.
