I am currently a freshmen in college. After I am finished with college, I want to go on to med school. I want to become a pediatric cardiologist, but I just had a few questions. When I choose my residency, should I choose one in pediatrics or cardiology? I do not know how to go about this.

You would choose a residency in Pediatrics or a combined residency in IM/Peds. Cardiology is not offered a speciality for residency-it is a fellowship. So a pediatric residency is 3 yrs long and the pediatric cardiology residency is an additional 3 yrs
You have plenty of time to learn all the ins and outs of medical school and residency though! Good luck
