I think I am interested in this field, but I am having trouble finding out what kind of degree you have to have. How long would I have to go to school and what kind of school?
Oh, and if you are a pediatric physical therapist, do you enjoy/ recommend your job. I love kids and want to do something in the medical field that is very patient interactive. I like to exercise and move around. Is there anything you hate about your job? Love?
Thanks for your input

To become a pediatric PT, the education is the same as a “general” PT…it typically takes 6-7 years of education and results in either a master’s or doctorate degree.
However, there is also an advanced certification endorsed by the APTA that you can persue if you really want to focus in pediatrics, but this is something you do after graduating.
PT is highly patient interactive and you will spend a great deal of time talking, teaching and getting to know your patients.
