How Much Does A Pediatric Nurse Get Paid?

Filed in Category Pediatric Hospitals

at first a i wanted to be a pediatrician, but found out it takes a lot more schooling and studying, and found it to just be easier to become a pediatric nurse, the college i am going to also has programs for it.
So I was wondering how much a pediatric nurse would get paid a day, week, month, and year if they worked in the main hospital of the region. Also people say it varies based on where you live, lets just say i live on the East Coast of the U.S.

About the same as an RN. about 35,000 a year to start. But with OT and other benefits you could add a ton more to that.

Salary.com is a good resource for researching salaries. I would say, depending on experience the ranges is mid 40′s to 70′s. And would also probably be based on pediatric specialty such as ER, Home Care, Practitioner, Etc…. But entry level is probably in the mid 40′s in a good size hospital.
    Hope this helps.

You could start of becoming a nurse, and then later on if you want to you could become a full fledged doctor with a couple more semesters of school.
