You first of all need to go to nursing school. This can be a community college associate’s RN or a 4 year bachelor’s RN (both lead to the registered nurse), then you take the NCLEX nursing exam. For peds, you should try & get into a new-grad program at a pediatric hospital. If there is not a pediatric hospital near you, then you will need to try for a pediatric floor in a general hospital. They may require you do general med-surg nursing before however for experience.
Those are the only 2 paths that I know of. Contact a nursing school near you for detailed instructions on what you need to focus on & take and what the pre-reqs are for your school.
One web site is allnurse.com, and the gov web sites also has general info on the nursing field.

You need to take your nursing prerequisites and then get into either an associates degree RN or bachelors of science in nursing RN.
Then just get a job in a Peds hospital or on the peds floor in a regular hospital.
Personally, I absolutely hated my pediatric rotations! I felt to awful seeing sick kids all day, and it made me feel like a monster to walk into a room with a needle and have the kid start screaming and cowering away from me.
At least adults understand that you are there to help them…
