I Am Searching For A Good Pediatric Eye Doctor For My 15 Year Old Son. Can Anyone Help Read Further?

My son was born with an underdeveloped optic nerve. He has nystagma and has an astigmatism.Glasses dont help and he is unable to drive.Can laser surgery or anyother type of surgery help his eye condition?I am looking for an eye doctor in pennsylvania or any eye clinic that specializes in children’s eye problems. Thanks so much!!

    he doesn’t necessarily HAVE to be seen by a pediatric eye doctor. after all he is 15 yrs old.
    you live in a state where there is a world renowned eye hospital.
    its called “wills eye” its located in philadelphia PA. its a 14 story building devoted to nothing but eyes.

    If he is 15, I would think he is old enough you could branch out to any good eye specialist. I don’t think it would need to be pediatric at this point. Unfortunately I live in the wrong place to be of much help. Good luck!

    Why not call these folks up and ask for a “referral” in your state/city?
