I am a Rn in a PICU. I would suspect your just observing the nurse in her role. The PICU I work in is a high energy workplace. The sickest kids are in that unit. It would be helpful to be knowlegeable about ventilators, vasopressors, central lines, arterial lines. Remember, your learning so asking questions is how you'll learn.
