Is There Always A Lot Of Blood Involved In Becoming A Pediatric Nurse?

Filed in Category Pediatric Hospitals

I can take bandaging up cuts, and some blood. But not deep surgical procedures. Giving shots doesn’t bother me, but drawing blood and putting IVS in does to some extent. Do you think I would be better working as a pediatric nurse at a doctors office or hospital? What would be less bloody?

pEDIATRICS IS EASIER AND LESS BLOODY. Most injections are subcutaneous and not intravenous but blood draws are and a good drawer is an asset to any office. Traumas go to emergency clinics.

If you are not comfortable with IV’s you should probably not go into any type of nursing.

If such things make you queasy you should rethink your career path.
