My Daughter Is 6 Months Old And Her Lower Eyelid Is Pushing Her Eyelashes Into Her Eye?

Filed in Category Pediatric Specialists

I have spoken to the doctor about it several times, they said to wait until she was 6 months old, because she may grow out of it. She has not grown out of it, so they are sending her to a specialist. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this with their children and what to expect at the appointment with the pediatric eye doctor. Any input would be helpful.

Its a condition called congenital entropion. It can be corrected by a minor lid surgery.

Yes actually. My brother in law had this with both his bottom eye lids. My mother in law jokes it was because he was such a cry baby.
He had to see a specialist too and they ended up having to do a minor surgery to his eye lids to fix the problem. I can’t remember everything they said they did or the details, I just know that they surgically fixed it. Sorry I am not much help.
