He told me I could mix them, then after 3 days add a little meat, then three days more and add omega 3 oil. I have read a lot saying to introduce a tablespoon at a time of only one veggie. So far he seems ok with a mix of squash, carrot and spinach, but I just want to see what any of you parents suggest.

Wow, for once, it sounds like a pediatrician knows what he’s talking about! You found yourself a good one! lol
That sounds like a good plan…you may even space the new foods out a little more, such as a week. But 6 months is the right age to start a baby on solids, and cereals are just non-nutricious fillers.
You could start on fruits and veggies such as yams, sweet or mashed potatoes, scrape some banana onto a spoon, applesause…things like that.
Remember, breastmilk only for the first year, and solid foods are NOT to be the main source of nutrition, they are just for baby to experiment with.
I am a father of 5 children and the best advise that I can give is if you can’t trust your pediatrician then it’s time to get a new pediatrician. They are the professionals and if you don’t believe they are giving you the right recommendations time to seek a new professional. But my personnal opinion is that would be ok as long as he isn’t having a hard time with his chewing motions.
I have read that it’s best to introduce each new vegetable separately, but once the baby has already tried one veggie and isn’t having any allergies to it, you can mix them all up and keep adding more. if you have a history of allergies in your family it is best to be as careful as possible especially with foods that are the most common allergens (nuts, eggs, strawberries, fish). If not, then maybe you don’t need to be quite as worried about mixing stuff and giving new foods.
to be honest, that doesnt sound enough to me, has he only just started to be weaned?
Great starter foods for 5 – 8 months old are fruits – they are a perfect food, with all the protein and starch broken down with easily absorbale amino acids and glucose molecules, and loaded withvitamins, minerals, antioxidants and many valuable nutrients – just mash and feed! So simple, no cooking, sterilising, no hassle! One fruit meal each evening – When he turns his head away, he’s had enough.
7 – 10 months – introduce a seond fruit meal at mid-morning. Then when you feel your baby is ready at 8-12 months introduce a vegetable meal at lunch or supper.
At a year you can introduce some fish and starches can be introduced from 14 months. By 18 months your baby’s diet shouldn’t be so different from your own.

i was told to only introduce one food every week or 5 days to make sure there are no food allergies. That way if there is a reaction you will know which food it is from. There is really no wrong way, if you are concerned consult with another pediatrician. Good Luck
