More needed…there are shortages in both areas
Pay…better pay in nursing, but you may have to work weekends, nights, holidays, no time off for inclement weather (health care workers are considered essential personnel)
Benefits…depends on who you are working for. No matter which field you choose, you’ll then have to compare employers to pick the best deal (i.e. my hospital doesn’t pay the highest in the city, but it has the best vacation plan, best retirement in the city)
If you have kids in school I think it is a great idea even if the pay isn’t what you were expecting. You are out in the summer and home with your kids when school is out, You do not work vacations. You just have to have a caring heart because not every kid is just going to have a runny nose. You would be surprised what some of these kids home life is like(that just breaks my heart)— But on a happier note I think it is a great idea especially if your a mom your self.
well that depends, you should look into each field, and get a job interview for each, they usually give you a general idea of salary and things like that. And what you want has to go into that, im not entirely sure, but i think that being a pediatric nurse would pay more, but maybe im wrong.
