First off, In order for a person to become a pediatric nurse practitioner or a nurse practitioner period, they MUST BE AN RN with a bachelors degree, most commonly a bachelors of science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college and/or university. Subsequently, they must earn a Masters of science in Nursing specifically for the type of nurse practitioner he/she wants to be. More to the point, if being a nurse practitioner is what you really want, don’t waste your time earning a degree to pursue something that you are not totally passionate about. That’s what a minor is for my dear.
Have you thought about majoring in biology or pre-med?
