Subsequently, they must earn a Masters of science in Nursing specifically for the type of nurse practitioner he/she wants to be. More to the point, if being a nurse practitioner is what you really want, don't waste your time earning a degree to pursue something that you are not totally passionate about. That's what a minor is for my dear.
