What Classes Should Be Taken In High School To Help Me Become A Pediatric Surgeon??

Filed in Category Pediatric Schools

I know i have to have at least 4 years of medical school, 5 or more years of training as a general surgeon, then 2 additional years of residency training in pediatric surgery, and certification from the american board of surgery. But, i don’t know what classes i should take in high school to help me become a general surgeon & then take the two more years of the residency training in pediatric surgery. Can someone please help me out? I would really appreciate it.

Medical fields are basically Science and Math. Math is needed because MOST schools demand you take/took a specific Math class in order to go to a specific Science class.
    You should try taking:
    -AP Bio.
    -AP Chem.
-AP Calc. AB and BC or just AB
Taking these classes will enable you to have great knowledge in Science and Math. Colleges will like your HS transcript and your choice of classes. Do well on your AP Exams also target for a 4 or 5. Even though your thinking why Math? When you go to college you probably have to take advanced math also. This will eliminate you from taking some classes and save you money.
