To become a surgeon, you need to go to medical school….which you attend AFTER a 4-year college.
It is only your residency and fellowship (which you do AFTER med school) that actually trains you to become a pediatric surgeon…so to that end, there’s no “best” school to attend to become a surgeon, except that going to a stronger school can help your chances in placing into a surgical residency after graduation.
You do not become a surgeon, or even a doctor, at an undergraduate school. You become a doctor after 4 years of medical school and years upon years of residency in peds surg.
