What Is The Pee Test For At A Regular Checkup?

Filed in Category Pediatric Drugs

I am a teenager, so i still go to a pediatric doctor; but ever since i can remember, they have required a pee test. Is this test just to see if i’m hydrated? or i can pee? or are they checking for drugs at 5 years old? like wtf….
so all i’m asking is if anyone knows what the purpose of this is…
thanks

It’s called a routine and microscopic ( R and M) they are not looking for drugs, just having a peek at your pee making sure its normal

This is to check your sugar levels in your urine and test for proteins, maybe a urinary tract infection or something going on with the kidneys.
