Should i become a doctor or a lawyer? I really plan on going to Villanova University in PA. But any recommendations of any schools near the Tri State area; Pennsylvania, New York, etc. I’m a sophomore right now but i am really looking into the future because i would be the first member of my family to go to an American College. Please help. Also, what should i major in if i want to be a lawyer or doctor, i want to become a pediatrician (even though im a guy) because i like working with kids. But i dont want to become a teacher because of a low salary. thank you.

Whatever u want(: set your mind to it.
Do what you are more interested in, and what you think you will enjoy more.
Go ahead. Jump on the bandwagon. I say become what you want not what others want. But if you want to do that then thats fine.
If you want to be a pediatrician then go into the medical field. Simple as that. Take ‘med-school’ classes. You can see if you can major in child medicine which would make it easier to become one. I think there are classes for that…I’m not sure. My parents are only nurses so I only know the basics of med-school.
First of all, decide what you want to do and then look for a college that has a good program for it.
Doctors are very broad what you can do with it. There are a lot of different types of doctors and you could probably find an interest somewhere. If 4 years of Med school doesn’t sound fun or affordable, you can be a physicians assistant (make half as much as doctors but don’t pay for malpractice insurance, two years of medical school)
If you want to be a doctor make sure you get all of your pre-med done. Biology, is a good undergraduate degree. Biomedical engineering is the number one undergraduate degree that med schools look for.
Lawyers…you should talk to a lawyer and ask them what they actually do. I’ve talked to some people who exit law school and do a lot of desk jobs that last long hours. Find a interest though first and then go with it. Doctors and lawyers seem fairly different in personalities.
