Whats It Like Inside A Psychiatric Hospital?

Filed in Category Pediatric Hospitals

My doctor(s) told me that if I didn’t get my eating disorder under control then they were going to put me in-patient at the pediatric psychiatric hospital. I’m not crazy! That’s where like schizophrenic people are! I wouldn’t be in the same part with the crazy people would I?!

It is the same as a normal hospital except everyone is up attending lectures, seeing thier drs , resting on the couch etc. You wouldn’t be put in with schizophrenic people anyway you would be put in with other eating disorder patients. The 3 weeks I spent in a psych hospital really helped get my condition under control please consider this as it will help

I have had a stroke and I have been in medical hospital w/ psychiatric wards included. I believe it is just the same as in a medical hospital except you are up and walking around and they have a lot more mesh-bars were discourged after the 50’s. you can certainly voice your concerns to the doctor-it may be that your disorder can be controlled in other ways, he was just giving the worst case scenario. My suggestion would be to eat. And fast. Gain weight. Peace.
