What’s The Best Approach To Raising Funds For St. Jude Research Children’s Research Hospital?

Filed in Category Pediatric Diseases

I want to raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to continue its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. I set up a website for donations at: www.mymathathon.org/users/danilanes.
Will I raise more money by asking for flat donations or by ask for an amount for each correct answer in the mathathon?
No child is ever denied treatment because of the family’s inability to pay. St. Jude is the first and only pediatric cancer center to be designated as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute. St. Jude freely shares its discoveries with scientific and medical communities around the world. St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance.

Regina (Saskatchewan) Hospitals raise lots every year by raffling a brand new house. Tickets $100. But since you’re doing a mathathon, it should be a flat fee otherwise the more questions you get right the more you pay so where’s the incentive? Does the winner get any kind of decent prize and/or recognition?
