Well i had an upper endoscopy done last week and i was put under, but they let me wear my own clothes…
now that was at a pediatric surgery center so is that why? or was it because it didnt really matter?
A lady that was giving us info about the surgery said to just wear something comfy. Does that mean that i wont have to change??
i really dont want to wear a gown lol
thanks
this is going to be at a Baylor hospital

Usually an endoscopy room isn’t “sterile” so that is probably why you were able to wear your own clothes. However, you will probably be put in an OR for a tonsillectomy which is in a sterile area. Therefore, you’ll most likely have to wear a hospital gown. This is because of the germs that can be carried in on your clothes worn from home.
